The National Archives Authority of Saint Lucia is an organization that is relevant and crucial for preserving, managing, and providing access to the historical records and cultural heritage of the nation. It plays a vital role in safeguarding the nation’s history, supporting research and education, and contributing to the preservation of national identity and memory.

Built in 1914 the lighthouse was once a guiding light for the French and British soldiers who fought over our beautiful island fourteen times. Remnants of these battles are still evident at the facility where you can view the historic cannons used to torpedo rival ships.

Vigie Beach is located 2 km north of Castries District, Saint Lucia, running parallel and immediately adjacent to the George F. L. Charles Airport. It is a protected white sand beach. Immediately opposite the airport departure lounge are a few small food kiosks.

Morne Fortune (“good luck hill”), is a former military outpost overlooking the Castries harbor it was meant to protect.
